Fundraising Raffle for Southern Area Hospice on 31st July
In February 2018 I had my first solo exhibition in Newry City Library which was very successful for me. I was to have my second exhibition there from May 11th – May 30th 2020 with a raffle taking place on Saturday 16th May during the official opening of the exhibition.
Obviously, due to Covid-19 the exhibition did not take place, but the raffle is still going ahead and will take place at the Southern Area Hospice Offices in Newry on Friday 31st July at 12.00pm, with the winning ticket drawn by an official of the hospice.
The painting was one painted by myself when I initially began painting and was a copy of an original contemporary painting “Connemara Ponies” by well-known Irish artist Douglas Hutton. By kind permission of the artist I was given permission to raffle the painting and have to date raised more than £550.00 for the hospice.
