Bloody Bridge, Newcastle
Bloody Bridge, Newcastle where in the ealry 1800’s a group of more than 60 protestant prisoners being escorted from Newry to Newcastle were thrown to their deaths over the bridge, which in folklore said turned the river red with blood. A favourite with visitors to the Mournes.
